Competition Terms & Conditions

Competitions are open to all persons aged 16 and over.

By entering this competition the entrant will be deemed to have read and understood these rules and to be bound by them and by any other requirements set out in any related promotional material. The competition is governed by Scottish Law and any matters relating to the competition will be resolved under Scottish Law and the courts of Scotland shall have exclusive jurisdiction.

To enter this competition submit the keyword given in the competition via SMS (Short Message Service). Please note that the City of Edinburgh Council and its partners cannot accept responsibility for message entries not received.

All entries must be made via our SMS (short message service) number.

By accepting these terms and conditions and entering this competition, you confirm that you are not breaching any laws in your country of resistance regarding the liability of entering our competitions unlawfully.

The winner will be notified on the telephone number given when entering within 72 hours of the closing date and time of the relevant competition. All prizes must be collected by 4pm on 31st December from The Hub, Castlehill, Edinburgh.

The winner will be required to provide a copy of photographic ID on collection to confirm their identity and age before any prize can be released. The collection of all prizes will be the responsibility of the winner. A copy of a passport or driving licence will suffice.

The promoter reserves the right to cancel any competition, for any reason. In these circumstances the Promoter will return the competition entry fee to all competitors in the cancelled competition and this will be the promoters only liability.

Data Protection Notice:

Any personal data that you supply to the Promoter maybe used by the Promoter to
(i) to administer the competition; and
(ii) to contact you about other competitions or about other goods and services which the Promoter considers may be of interest of you. We will not sell data to external companies or agencies. You will be given an option to opt-out at a later date should we decide to contact you.

In order to process, record and use your personal data the Promoter may disclose it to
(i) any person to whom the Promoter proposes to transfer any of the Promoters rights and/or responsibilities under any agreement the Promoter may have with you;
(ii) any person to whom the Promoter proposes to transfer its business or any other part of it;
(iii) comply with any legal or regulatory requirements of the Promoter in any country; and
(iv) prevent, detect or prosecute fraud and other crime.

The City of Edinburgh Council and its partners in this competition reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time
