no ordinary festival - one extraordinary party!

Now entering its 18th year, Edinburgh’s Hogmanay promises to welcome 2011 in style with a packed programme of events throughout the festival.

Early Bird tickets for the city’s famous Edinburgh’s Hogmanay Street Party 2010-11 are now available here or by calling Edinburgh’s Hogmanay Box Office on 0844 894 2011 providing party-goers with the opportunity to obtain tickets at the 2009 price of a £10.00 admin fee.  Following the end of the Early Bird promotion, tickets will be available at an admin fee of £15.00 each.

Early Bird vouchers will also be available locally from Tickets Scotland in Rose Street giving residents an opportunity to make the most of this limited promotional offer.

Edinburgh is recognised globally as the Home of Hogmanay and last year the city welcomed 80,000 revellers to celebrate New Year in style at the Edinburgh’s Hogmanay Street Party, attracting visitors from over 60 countries.

With the addition of an all new music stage at the East-end, the Street Party offers a full festival programme of music over four stages and giant screens as well as the spectacular Midnight Fireworks set against the dramatic backdrop of Edinburgh Castle and the world’s largest ‘Auld Lang Syne’ bringing in the New Year.

Edinburgh’s Hogmanay and its iconic fireworks display is broadcast across the globe to an estimated 160 countries and a viewing audience of over 1 billion, ensuring Edinburgh remains one of the world’s premier New Year events, alongside Sydney, New York and Paris.

Concert in the Gardens, the music and fireworks spectacular set within the mass Street Party, is central to the Edinburgh celebrations. This separate ticketed outdoor arena hosts the festival headliners and takes place in Princes Street Gardens directly below Edinburgh Castle. Artists and ticket information will be announced in the autumn.

The Keilidh in the Mound Precinct enjoys the atmosphere of the Street Party and this exclusive traditional outdoor ceilidh offers a truly Scottish New Year, popular with both visitors and residents. Tickets will go on sale in the autumn.

Full festival programme details will be announced in October.
